Fancy getting creative with an upcycling project?

This course covers the basics of furniture painting so you can get stuck into your upcycling projects with confidence and give your furniture a new lease of life. It has been designed for complete beginners, so you can gain a better understanding of the basics of upcycling furniture.

Course content

During this part time course, you'll cover many aspects of furniture upcycling, such as:

  • Preparation, cleaning, and sanding
  • Painting and different paint techniques
  • Staining and waxing
  • Transfers and decoupage

You'll also cover the use of a range of tools and products to carry out your upcycling projects, including sanders, paint brushes, paint, adhesives, clear and coloured waxes, stains and varnishes.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

You will need to attend regularly and have an enthusiasm for upcycling furniture.
