If you’re an automotive technician working in sectors such as light vehicle or motorcycle maintenance, roadside assistance, accident repair, auto glazing, parts distribution or customer service, Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA) is a national voluntary scheme governed by the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) which tests your competence through a series of practical assessments and an online test at an approved centre.
