Learners bring home 24 medals in Skills Competition Wales 2021

28 May 2021

We’re thrilled to announce that our talented and inspirational learners have won a fantastic 24 medals in 2021. Every year, learners from all our campuses and a wide range of our skills-based courses take part in the national competition to showcase their skills. And 2021 was no different, despite vocational learners facing a year of challenges unlike any other.

Once again, our hard-working learners took up the challenge to benchmark and improve their skills through competitions across several sectors, and we’re proud to celebrate their achievements and an array of Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals.

Over 160 Coleg Gwent learners took part in Skills Competition Wales this year across categories in Construction and Infrastructure; Engineering and Technology; Health, Hospitality and Lifestyle; IT and Enterprise; and Media and Creative, drawing attention to Coleg Gwent as a leader in skills education and standards. And we’re over the moon to see our dedicated learners win 24 Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals in the virtual celebration events that took place on 13th and 27th May.
